Lost in Makati

I didn't have work yesterday but my dad was in town and so I had to meet up with him since he had some "goodies" for me and my bro. My brother couldn't make it since he's down with the flu (or so he tells us) so I'll have to do this little adventure on my own. I call it an adventure coz I haven't been to this part of Makati in a while and the hotel my dad is staying in is somewhat "low-profile". Well, true enough to my expectations, I end up walking around lost for about two hours...well, at least I enjoy walking in the rain. I learned a few things though, like if you wanna ask for directions, never ask security guards...they don't know squat but will pretend they do. It's better to look for those traffic aides...they were the ones who actually gave me some accurate information.

Eventually I find the hotel with my dad waiting outside and the first thing I notice is how thin he is. He tells me over dinner that it's coz he's been suffering from a toothache...I dunno. Anyway, we decided to watch a movie after at greenbelt. Stealth wasn't bad at all, the story wasn't as linear as I expected it to be and Jessica Biel is HOT!:) haha! But seriously, I think it was very well directed as far as the dog fights and flight scenes were concerned. And my dad enjoyed it too though he seemed much more amused at the fact that we were practically the only ones watching the movie at that time.

A nice bed to sleep in and a hearty bacon breakfast with the works is always a nice change for me, and I'll never ever mind having to commute to makati and back everyday if that was the case, hehe. I bid my dad a safe trip as he hands me the goodies that I came for me and my brother as we part ways from the hotel.

I take the train back and I think about my mom and dad, my brother who's gonna get married on september, and all the other changes that has happened and are continuing to happen... life seems so fast now. And I'm not usually there when stuff happens, especially to the people I'm closest to. I try to think I'll be able to catch up with lost time...but I'm starting to realize, there's no catching up with time...only losing.
