Finally, I've succeeded in being accurate enough with a rifle to hit consistently just within the red circle. And today was extra special since I hit the bulls eye 3 times out of 8...not bad, so I actually got a raffle ticket which gives me a chance to win an air rifle of my own. Of course, I'm hoping not a lot of people can pull off the stunt of hittng the bulls eye at least twice.
But far more exciting than that was my finals for the Rifles Marksmanship class; where we actually got to do some live rounds of 4 different guns. My favorites were the .45 calibre and the 12 G shotgun. Being around some real guns made some of the guys jumpy. One of my clasmates actually had an uncontrollable body jerk every time a shot was fired. And man, these things are LOUD...and with the shotgun, you can just feel the power off it even when you're just still in the observers's area. I did pretty well I think. I realize it really is easy to hurt someone with these things...takes a lot of responsibility to own one of these me thinks.
Oh, I also forgot one other cool thing i got to do for Rifle class. The lecturer made me do a confidence shot, to see if I can work with a little added pressure. he actually held a cap of about 4cm in diameter with a pair of pliers and stood at normal distance from me. I hit the cap without killing him with my first shot(bow). He didn't ask a lot of us to do this of course...ehem ehem.

Hmmm...I don't think happinness is at all a matter of intellegence. Which is probably why ignorance is bliss. But then again, emotions are hardly ever a case of intellegence I think. It's a state of being. You're happy when you're happy, and sad when you're sad. Doesn't have to have much thought put into it...either you are, or you aren't. But I guess when you're down in the dumps, it's harder to find that silver lining rather than the other way around. So it doesn't really come down to intellegence, but to choice and effort...to be better. okay okay...I'll stop my blabbing.
....
the song in my head...
some guys have all the luck
some guys get all the blame
some guys get all the breaks
others do nothing but complain...
theres love around me...
but ther's none for me...
la la lala....*bonks head*
